The garden is getting all cleaned up for the upcoming Grand Island Garden Walk taking place on Sunday, July 9th from 10-4. We hope that community members will come and explore our gardens and see how much they have grown this past school year. We have several students and their families that have volunteered to help take care of the garden over the summer. So far, we have only seen one Monarch butterfly around the milkweed but we are hoping more will come! Last year's milkweed is about 21/2 feet tall and is flowering. Third graders planted more this spring and it is growing nicely, especially since it has been raining regularly! We hope July 9th will be sunny and warm so everyone can come and enjoy the garden!
